Limited-Term Position in Communications (INTERNAL)

The Journalism and Communications Programme, St. Thomas University, invites internal applications for an entry-level, 10-month, limited-term appointment to begin August 1, 2012, pending budgetary approval.

St. Thomas University is an undergraduate, liberal arts institution whose roots are in the faith and tradition of the Roman Catholic Church. With a full-time enrolment of 2,500, its students graduate with Bachelor of Arts, Applied Arts, Education, and Social Work degrees. The faculty members are distinguished teachers, researchers and scholars, and the University holds four Canada Research Chairs.

The successful candidate must have both professional experience in communications and a record of excellence in university teaching. The successful candidate must demonstrate an ability to teach courses on the history, theory and current practices in communications in both the public and private sectors, as well as intensive writing courses. The successful candidate will teach three 3 credit hour courses each semester.

A Master’s degree is required.
