Introduction

Welcome to St. Thomas University's WebAdvisor. WebAdvisor is a software tool that will enable all students to access their personal academic information online via the website. It will allow students to view their class schedule, register for and drop courses, view grades and transcripts, change their address and search for classes.

Obtaining a Valid Username and Password

Please note: Username and Password are both case sensitive

Username
When accessing WebAdvisor your Username will be the same as your current STU username that you use to access your email etc. (e.g. gcbcg) . This username is also printed on your STU ID card. If you do not know your username you can access it by choosing the "What's my User ID" on the WebAdvisor Student menu. If you choose this option, you will be required to enter your last name and either your SIN (Social Insurance Number) or Student ID (eg 0912345).

Password
For initial sign-on to WebAdvisor your password will be your 7 digit PIN (Personal Identification Number). In case you have forgotten your PIN we will email it to your STU e-mail address . When you enter your PIN, as your password, you will be required immediately to change your password. Your new password must be 6 to 9 characters in length and include BOTH letters and numbers. Please choose a password that you will easily remember, and enter a password hint which will aid you in remembering your password. When changing your password attempt to make it significantly different from your previous one.

Forgot your Password?

If you have forgotten your password you can choose the "Reset My Password" link and the system will send a temporary password to your St. Thomas email account.

Having Difficulty Accessing WebAdvisor?

If you are still having difficulty accessing WebAdvisor with your username and password, you may visit the Registrar's office for assistance or email mywebpasswd@stu.ca. If you choose to email mywebpasswd@stu.ca you must identify yourself by including your date of birth, SIN, and student number. If you do not include all three of these identifiers in your email we will not be able to help you. This is a security feature to ensure that no one else gains access to your account.

When Will WebAdvisor be Available?

WebAdvisor will normally be available daily with the exception of the hours between 2am and 6am. In the event of scheduled shutdowns students will be advised accordingly.

System Support

Technical difficulties, issues, or questions regarding WebAdvisor should be directed to the STU Help Desk at (506) 452- 0625 or email its@stu.ca.
