International Students Off-Campus Work Project

International students are permitted to work off campus for up to 20 hours per week. To be eligible, students must be registered full time and have completed one year of study at St. Thomas University. This is a great opportunity for International students to gain valuable experience in the Canadian labour market while completing their studies. For more information, please contact Student Affairs at 452-0616 or email stu_afrs@sru.ca.

J.O.B.S. Programme

J.O.B.S. (Job Opportunities Benefiting Students) are student employment opportunities available to all full time STU students. Not only does this worthwhile programme provide students with valuable work experiences and opportunities to defray the cost of their education, it also provides faculty and administrators assistance with worthwhile initiatives.

J.O.B.S. provides students with an opportunity to work part-time while studying. Students are able to work a maximum of 10 hours per week and only between the hours of 8:00 am and 9:00 pm. A student cannot hold more than one J.O.B.S. position.

These positions provide a wide array of university related experiences. Students who wish to apply must submit a cover letter stating the specific job that they are applying for and a current resume. Once the deadline for application has lapsed, all resumes will then be forwarded to the grant holder. The grant holder will then be required to review all applications, conduct interviews and select the appropriate candidate for the position.

For more information, please contact Human Resources and Faculty Relations at 452-0612 hr@stu.ca .
