In most cases 50 per cent free throw shooting might sink a team, however the Tommies made it a non-factor, advancing to Friday's national semifinal. It will be the first time a Tommies team will play in a national semifinal. They'll take on the 3rd seed Dawson College Blues. Kelly Vass had 12 points and six steals to earn player of the game honours. Ashley Bawn had a double-double - 14 rebounds, 10 points. The game started tentative with the teams trading the lead four times. But the Tommies sprung to life and went on a 20-7 run in the second to take a comfortable lead. That proved to be all they needed, as they rode that lead to victory, never allowing Fanshawe within more than 11.
