Maritime Writers’ Workshops July 9th – 13th

The 37th Annual Maritime Writers’ Workshops is taking place from Monday, July 9th to Friday, July 13th at the University of New Brunswick.

The event will host dynamic one-day, two-day, three-day or evening workshops with some of the region’s best writers, including writers with a STU connection. 

Professor Carla Gunn from the Psychology Department and Professor Andrew Titus from the English Department are both included in the roster of experienced and successful writers and instructors.

Carla Gunn, Riel Nason, and Laurie Glenn Norris will be part of a panel on “Ideas to Publication,” and Andrew Titus will present “Poetry, Spoken Work, and Hiphop.”

The atmosphere is inviting and supportive while you receive helpful feedback on your work. Choose from a series of one-day or one-evening workshops to suit your interests. Themes include “Writing for Children and Young People,” “The Thrill and romance of Popular Fiction,” “Pitching the Publisher,” “The Basics of Poetry,” “Murder and Mayhem Mystery Writing,” and more.
