What are the application deadlines?

If you are interested in applying for the Bachelor of Arts programme, the application deadline is March 31. Students interested in the Bachelor of Arts programme are encouraged to apply after the March 31 deadline, as we will accept applications until the programme is full.

Bachelor of Education applicants must have their applications and all supporting documents and transcripts in the Admissions Office by the January 15 deadline. No exceptions will be made for late applications.

Bachelor of Social Work applicants must have their applications and all supporting documents and transcripts in the Admissions Office by the January 31 deadline. No exceptions will be made for late applications.

I have applied and am wondering whether I have been accepted?

Once a file is complete, the Admissions Office has a turn-around time of approximately one week on application decisions. After a decision has been made, we will send you a letter containing all the information you will need to proceed from that point.

How much does it cost to attend St. Thomas? Where and how do I do pay my fees?

The Registrar's Office is responsible for all fee payments including tuition, student fees, parking passes, parking tickets, etc.

How do I pick my courses?

Every student is assigned an Academic Advisor while they are at St. Thomas. First-year students receive registration information in June. This information package includes contact information for an Academic Advisor. Your Academic Advisor will be able to help you with the registration process.

Upper-year students are also encouraged to contact their Academic Advisors during the year to make sure they are on the right path with their course selection.

How do I sign up for a course at the University of New Brunswick while attending St. Thomas?

St. Thomas students have the opportunity to take up to 6 credit hours per semester at the University of New Brunswick. First-year students coming from high school receive information about this option in their registration information packages. UNB course registration forms can also be picked up at the Registrar’s Office or online. The staff in the Registrar’s Office can assist you in registering for these courses.

How can I find out who I am living with in residence next year?

Each year in August, a package is mailed to residence students that includes their roommate’s name and contact information. You are guaranteed a room in residence if you apply by the April 15 deadline and pay the $300.00 residence deposit by that date.

How do I apply for a student loan?

New Brunswick students should visit www.studentaid.gnb.ca for student loan information and an application form. Students from outside of New Brunswick should contact their Provincial government websites for this information.

Once you have been approved for a student loan, the loan will go directly to the Registrar's Office where you can pick it up.

Are there jobs available on campus?

Yes. We have an excellent employment programme on campus which offers students opportunities to work one-on-one with professors on research projects or in an administrative office. We also have positions available as campus tour ambassadors, note takers, tutors, cafeteria workers, etc.

What are the programme requirements for your Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Social Work programmes?

Who do I contact to get a copy of my St. Thomas official transcript, or to have it sent to another institution?

For official transcripts, or to have your transcript sent to another institution, please contact the Registrar's Office. If you are having the transcript sent to another university/college, please provide the Registrar’s Office with the address for that institution. There is a small fee associated with this service.
