The Yellow Box Gallery and the St. Thomas University Fine Arts Department is pleased to present the work of five leading New Brunswick artists in the Foyer Gallery on the ground floor of McCain Hall.

The exhibition entitled Fredericton Five features the work of artists David McKay, RCA, Ann Manuel, Stephen May, Stephen Scott and Stephanie Weirathmueller, all of whom work and live in Fredericton.

The exhibition, curated by William Forrestall, features a range of creative visual expression and subject matter including, landscape, figurative and still life paintings developed from the studio and home environment of the artists.

"In a world of constant change, where we actually live and how we share our immediate physical community with others is of increasing value. The painted surface, the captured moment, the rare glimpse of a creative and considered interpretation of a shard community can today be considered more valuable than ever. This exhibition seeks to share these moments and their creative visual interpretation," said Forrestall.

"The exhibition features some of the leading artists of eastern Canada, and bringing together a range of visions based on the artists daily lives as lived within our civic community, our Fredericton home."

The exhibition continues until March 12, 2013.
