The virtual map recently launched by St. Thomas University uses the latest technology to provide future students a chance to see the nationally-renowned campus from a new perspective.
The photorealistic interactive map, the first of its kind in Canada built by CampusTours, includes photos, videos, panoramic views, and detailed descriptions of each building on campus.  The map is built using the latest technology in web development and can also be viewed on smartphones and other smart devices.
“St. Thomas is known across Canada for the beauty of its campus and its highly-ranked learning environment, and this life-like map comes as close as possible to capturing that beauty. It gives potential students a glimpse into the student life at the university—it’s not just a map, it’s an experience,” said Jeffrey Carleton, Director of Communications.
“With the campus map acting as the initial point of contact for web-based visitors, it was important that we capture the unique beauty of our campus and CampusTours has helped us do that,” he said.

“Our campus is a strong selling point and this will help future students who are not able to visit us in person see all we have to offer.”
The university partnered with the award-winning company CampusTours to produce the map. CampusTours is based in Auburn, Maine and is the largest provider of virtual and video interactive map services to academic, non-profit and government markets.  Along with the Architect of the Capitol, CampusTours earned a Webby Award for the United States Capitol virtual experience at
