This website has been created as a guide for St. Thomas University students who are interested in careers in psychology or related fields. I created this website after having many conversations with students who knew that they wanted to work in a helping profession, but did not know the options available.

There are a variety of different helping professions, all having their own educational requirements, areas of specialization, orientations, and job descriptions (and pay scales!). While not all helping professions are described here, I have tried to give a broad description of those most closely related to the fields of psychology and counselling. I hope that this resource is helpful to you as you pursue your career path.
