Activities
The St. Thomas University Holocaust Centre will bring together students from across Canada and beyond to increase their knowledge of the Holocaust and to allow them to become leaders at home in their work for peace, understanding, and respect. The Centre will:
- undertake research in all dimensions of the Holocaust
- deliver student educational programmes and specialized
programmes of continuing education for professional groups - provide scholarships and bursaries for students
- organize workshops, seminars, and conferences to promote informed thinking of the Holocaust
- undertake annual public lectures and associated events by Holocaust scholars
- support the Ripples Internment Camp Museum project
The new Centre will co-operate with other centres and organizations such as the Simon Wiesenthal Centre, the Holocaust Centre of Toronto, the Canadian Council of Christians and Jews, the Canadian Centre for Diversity, and Yad Vashem.
