Professional Development Resources

Here you'll find some teaching/learning resources that are available here at STU, as well as some external resources that you can access.

  • IATHE - Institute for Advancement in Teaching in Higher Education - offers three online workshops a year. Subsidies from LTD are available.

  • Diploma of University Teaching - The Centre for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching (CETL) at the University of New Brunswick offers a Diploma of University Teaching. The LTD Committee (STU) is willing to pay the registration fee ($210) for up to five St. Thomas University faculty members who wish to take this diploma, each time this is offerred, annually. The next course starts in January, 2008. If you wish to enroll for the January course, 1 page (less than 100 words) expressions of interest in the January course should be sent to the LTD Committee (ltdcommittee@stu.ca)as soon as possible.
