You should also note that up to two Independent Studies can be carried out as part of your degree. Independent Studies provide opportunities for exploring topics of your own choosing. You determine a topic and goals, then find a professor who will oversee your study. Working with them, you will devise a suitable guidelines for course structure, readings, assignments and evaluation. It is strongly recommended that you bring your ideas to the professor - do not expect them to create an independent study for you.

Independent Study forms are available from the Registrar's office (located in the Welcome building).
