Available Positions

The STUSU is looking to fill the following positions:

  • President of the Students’ Union
  • Vice President Administration
  • Vice President Education
  • Vice President Student Life
  • two Board of Governors Student Representatives
  • two Student Senators
  • Aquinian, Inc Board of Directors Member-at-Large
  • three Off-campus Representatives
  • Valedictorian
  • Grad Class President
  • the Aquinian, Inc. Board of Directors Second Year, Third Year, and Fourth Year Representatives

Positions Open Now (for last two months semester):

  • one Off-campus representative
  • the Aquinian, Inc. Board of Directors: First Year, Second Year, Third Year, and Fourth Year

Attentions Students! Still Accepting Nominations for the STUSU Spring Elections

Due to the lack of nomination forms and the urgency of the positions, the CRO and STUSU have decided to re-open the nominations for the following positions to students:

- Grad class president
- Student senators (2)
- AQ 2nd year AQ Board of Directors
- AQ 4th year AQ Board of Directors
- By-Election AQ 1st year AQ Board of Directors
- Off-campus Representative

Nomination forms can be picked up and dropped off at the Help Desk in James Dunn Hall. The nominations will close Wednesday at 12:00PM, when the CRO will instantly have a candidate meeting with those who had dropped off forms in front of the Help Desk.

Any questions or concerns can be directed toward the CRO at su_cro@stu.ca or answered directly at the Help Desk during the following times:
- Tuesday (February 15th) 2:00-4:00 PM
- Wednesday (February 16th) 8:30-9:00 AM, 11:30-12:00PM

Electoral Process

The President of the Students’ Union, Vice President Administration, Vice President Education, Vice President Student Life, two Board of Governors Student Representatives, two Student Senators, and the Aquinian, Inc Board of Directors Member-at-Large, shall be elected by the entire membership of the Students’ Union;

The three Off-campus Representatives shall be elected by members of the Students’ Union living off-campus;

The Valedictorian shall be elected by the graduating Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Applied Arts classes of the year;

The Grad Class President shall be elected by the graduating Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Applied Arts classes of the following year; The Aquinian, Inc. Board of Directors Second Year, Third Year, and Fourth Year Representatives shall be elected by the second-year class, third-year class, and fourth-year class, respectively;

Changes to the By-laws

Per usual, there will be two days of voting (February 23rd and 24th), however, instead of having four polling stations across Campus, the following changes have been applied:

There shall be two polling stations on the days of voting, which shall be located in:

(a) Sir James Dunn Hall, for off-campus residents;

(b) George Martin Hall, for students living in residence
