St Thomas Next Step Hockey School

Registrations are now being accepted for this year's edition of the St Thomas NEXT STEP All-Female Hockey School. The camp will run from July 5-9th at the LBR and the campus of St Thomas University.

This year sees 4 age groups being offered:

Novice (7-8 years or new to hockey)

Atom/Peewee (9-11 years or some hockey expeience)

Peewee/Bantam (12-14 years or experienced players)

Bantam/Midget (15-17 years or Advanced players)

The Novice camp will be a half day program and will run in the mornings only. They will have one icetime, off-ice dryland-like activity and a classroom session that will help expand the participants knowledge of the basics of the game. Cost fo this camp will be $250 for the 5 days.

The other three age groups will be full day camps that will offer two icetimes, two drylands and two classroom sessions per day. Lunch will be provided and will be catered by St Thomas' own executive chef. Cost for this camp will be the same as last year at $425 per player for the 5 days.

Details to follow for those players/families looking for accommodations for the week. Rates will be available at St Thomas' conference center.

All groups will be led by a member of the St Thomas Women's Hockey Program and instructors will feature St Thomas coaching staff as well as members of the team and other guest coaches.

All participants will receive training shirt and shorts as well as a jersey that they can keep.

Residence Accomodations

St. Thomas will be honoring the following rates for accommodations at it Forest Hill Residence:

Single - $30.09 (night) / $112.84 (week)
Double - $41.38 (night) / $150.45 (week)
